Aphex Twin – Syro – CD

The legendary Aphex Twin is home again and has arrived with a deluxe edition . Syro is Richard D. James first new album since ‘Drukqs’ (2001). This recent work is an immense rainbow of genres (and tracks also!), shining somewhere inbetween ‘Drukqs’ and the Analord series: heavy breakbeat, synth-funk, classical arrangements and some delightful piano chords in the middle of it.

The best thing we can say about the album is that it sounds like Aphex Twin: it is mad, and wonderful and neatly packed. The genius is back and we are very glad about it!
