Black Sweat Records

The Black Sweat Records’ LP, “First Electronic Chillout Music“, contains “Music Out Of the Moon” and “Perfume Set To Music” one of the first electonic chillout music composed, originally released in 1947 and 1948 on 10″ 78RPM. An unusual mix of different styles and musics, these two records were unique collaborations between three disparate talents, who envisioned a world of sound inspired by science fiction, exotica music, and meditations. Without them the theremin could perhaps never have been considered in a pop context. The influence of this music is clear in the multiform artist Sun Ra who covered the song “Possession” in his second LP “Jazz by Sun Ra”.
