Although it is not cheap, Theo Parrish proves to be musically very generous on his new 3LP/2CD, “American Intelligence”.
It’s his first album since 2007 and the end result is a nearly two-hours collection of impressive House beats. The brilliant “Footwork” 12″ set the standard, a couple a months ago, for the entire record, so it is pretty hard to select a killer-hit track, because all of them sound so deeply overwhelming. If listen to it closely, you’ll also find out that Parrish’s music is not only about the dancefloor, but mainly about experimentation, repetition, rhythm and complex melodic structures.
Well, we could keep going at it all day and night, but we think it is best if you just listen to the album!
