Apart from the praise of a handful of underground music <em>aficionados<\/em>, the album was bound to fly below the radar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many years later, and against all odds, \u201cM\u00fasica De Baixa Fidelidade\u201d became a collector\u2019s item. While some may have been solely driven by the rarity of the album; others, fortunately, realised the importance that <strong>T\u00f3z\u00e9<\/strong>\u2018s masterpiece had in laying the foundations for the next generation of experimental musicians. A bit like God, sound also worked in mysterious ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a very long editorial silence, <strong>T\u00f3z\u00e9 Ferreira<\/strong>&nbsp; resurfaced&nbsp; in a very exclusive pressing, via Plancton Music, with the CD\/DVD, \u201cLullabies For A Troubled World\u201d, a musique concr\u00e8te treat for advised listeners only. This obvious sign of life gave us hope, so we tried our luck and invited him to release a follow-up to \u201cM\u00fasica De Baixa Fidelidade\u201d. Glady, our expectations were met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, our lucky 13th edition, \u201c<strong>viagem de inverno<\/strong>\u201d (winter journey), shares the same basic principles of \u201cM\u00fasica De Baixa Fidelidade\u201d, that is, a keen taste for experimenting and stretching the boundaries of sound. From the somber and tense minimalism of \u2018Strange\u2019 to the harsh and abstract sense of \u2018Fagood\u2019; from the cinematic and bizarre \u2018Electronix\u2019 to the concr\u00e8te soundscapes of \u2018Max Tot\u2019, <strong>T\u00f3z\u00e9<\/strong>\u2018s skills as a composer seem more honed and acute than ever.
