His groundbreaking duo\u00a0<\/span>Suicide\u00a0<\/span><\/b>was often seen as future primitivism and most of his musical output has exemplified this blending of the primordial human condition and visionary thinking. With “<\/span>Invasion\u00a0<\/b>b\/w\u00a0Murder One<\/b>“, the next release from the now infamous\u00a0<\/span>Vega Vault\u00a0<\/span><\/b>following 2021\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Mutator<\/span><\/i><\/b>, we see this innate power in full effect.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The two tracks \u201cInvasion\u201d and \u201cMurder One\u201d were recorded two decades apart from one another in New York City. “Invasion” was recorded toward the end of the 2012-2015 studio sessions for the posthumous album “IT” and was one of his last recordings, while \u201cMurder One\u201d was recorded in 1997-1998, (after the\u00a0<\/span>Mutator\u00a0<\/span><\/i>sessions) and is part of a cluster of material that was recorded but never mixed prior to the sessions for his album\u00a0<\/span>2007<\/span><\/i>, which was released in 1999. Pairing these two songs together as a release illustrates the timelessness of the 30+ years of unreleased material that he deemed the Vega Vault.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
