Tam – Seis Elegias Para O Hemisf\u00e9rio Norte (Six Elegies For The Northern Hemisphere)<\/h1>\n<\/header>\n

ENG –<\/strong><\/p>\n

They say that judging in one’s own cause is complicated, however, in this specific case, the sentence was swift and appropriate. I, Tam<\/strong>, in an effort\u00a0 to save the judicial system some time, pleaded\u00a0 guilty to all charges, concerning the contents of this work.<\/p>\n

These \u201cSix Elegies For The Northern Hemisphere<\/strong>\u201d were composed between 2019 and 2021, in a kind of creative retreat in Alto Minho, near Mol\u00eado. The influences were the Atlantic Ocean at the tip of the nose, Santa Tecla’s hill in the corner of my eye and the stars placed on my forehead, however, when the time for the baptism finally came, the balance tipped over towards the constellations. All in Latin, as astronomers and my particular esteem for dead languages \u200b\u200bdictate.<\/p>\n

As for the musical style, it is up to me to say that the pieces are essentially ambient music with a hint of sea breeze, or dense drones very much alike the typical night fog of that particular region of the country. But, if you prefer, you can also go with the definition that my friend Miguel came up with, some time ago, when he listened to the album for the first time: “This is like a post-rave scene for tired people.”<\/p>\n

Love it, or not, the job is done…<\/p>\n

Dizem que julgar em causa pr\u00f3pria \u00e9 complicado, por\u00e9m, neste caso concreto, a senten\u00e7a foi c\u00e9lere e apropriada. Eu, Tam<\/strong>, num esfor\u00e7o para poupar tempo \u00e0 justi\u00e7a, declarei-me como o \u00fanico culpado do conte\u00fado desta obra.<\/p>\n

As \u201cSeis Elegias Para O Hemisf\u00e9rio Noite<\/b>\u201d foram compostas entre 2019 e 2021, numa esp\u00e9cie de retiro criativo no Alto Minho, ali para as bandas de Mol\u00eado. As influ\u00eancias foram o Atl\u00e2ntico na ponta do nariz, o monte de Santa Tecla no canto do olho e as estrelas na testa, por\u00e9m, quando chegou a hora do baptismo, o fiel da balan\u00e7a pendeu para as constela\u00e7\u00f5es. Tudo em latim, pois assim ordenam os astr\u00f3nomos e a minha particular estima por l\u00ednguas mortas.<\/p>\n

Quanto ao estilo, cabe-me dizer que as pe\u00e7as s\u00e3o essencialmente m\u00fasica ambiental com odor a maresia, ou ent\u00e3o drones<\/em> (zumbidos) densos como o nevoeiro nocturno t\u00e3o t\u00edpico daquela zona do pa\u00eds.\u00a0 Se preferirem, podem tamb\u00e9m ficar com a defini\u00e7\u00e3o que o meu amigo Miguel deu h\u00e1 uns tempos, quando escutou o \u00e1lbum pela primeira vez: “Isto \u00e9 uma cena post-rave<\/em> para gente cansada.”<\/p>\n
