“8” is surely one of the major releases of 2014, which allows us to state that Sensible Soccers may actually be the real Fantastic Four of the portuguese alternative music scene. The wonderful live performances, followed by the hit single “Sofrendo Por Voc\u00ea”, created a considerable and loyal fanbase in the past few months. Fortunately, the guys remained sensible and were able to live up to the expectations, by releasing a solid and cohesive long-play. Tracks like “AFG” and “Nikopol” are the living proof that 70’s Prog-Rock and Ambient Electronis still can fit in our present musical selections, as long as you can add something new to the old genres. Somehow, the Sensible Soccers managed to pull it off in fine form… More than just revisiting the past, the band’s music is a tell-tale sign for what’s to come.
