Back behind the drums and swinging harder than ever, with his new titanium hip crowdfunded by the immense generosity of friends and fans, brazilian drumming legend and one third of Azymuth, Ivan \u2018Mam\u00e3o\u2019 Conti<\/strong>, releases a brand new solo album next year with Far Out Recordings<\/strong>. It\u2019s his first solo release in over twenty years and the first to come out on vinyl since his 1984 Milestone classic The Human Factor. As people of earth may not quite be ready for the explosive cosmic samba of Mam\u00e3o<\/strong>\u2019s new album just yet, we\u2019re easing into it with a double header of heavily percussive, future-centric, jazz-minded, yet club-ready remixes.<\/p>\n

The second remix 12\u201d ahead of ‘Mam\u00e3o\u2019<\/strong>\u2019s album release, hosts three producers united not only by a foundational appreciation for the work of Ivan Conti<\/strong> and Azymuth, but also in the belief that there\u2019s much more to dance music than straight four to the floor. These are two of Germany\u2019s most consistently on-fire producers: Money Sex Records buddies Max Graef<\/strong> and Glenn Astro<\/strong>, along with the ascendant Mancunian producer\/percussionist Contours<\/strong>. With Mam\u00e3o\u2019s famously jovial character shining through each remix, the EP spans hip-hop, deep house, jazz-funk and afro-brasilian rhythms, giving the listener a taste of what\u2019s to come from Mam\u00e3o<\/strong>\u2019s much anticipated new album in 2018.<\/p>\n
