Continuing the Cape Verde series we relaunch this fantastic master piece, LP \u201dNha D\u2019stine<\/strong>\u201d from the legendary singer Am\u00e9rico Brito<\/strong> and his band Djarama<\/strong>. It was the 3rd LP Am\u00e9rico Brito<\/strong> recorded in his life.<\/p>\n

\u200bOriginally released by himself in 1983 and now in 2018 we bring it back to life with the stamp of\u00a0 Mar & Sol<\/strong> records to all the world.<\/p>\n

Am\u00e9rico Brito<\/strong> was born in the island of Fogo, Cape Verde, when he was a very young boy he came to Portugal and recorded his first success, the Lp \u201cSintado na Pracinha\u201d in 1980. After three years he moved to Rotterdam in Netherlands, city he choose to live like many other Cape Verdians at the time. He had a very important role in the development of his community fighting to the civil rights of the Cape Verdians in Rotterdam and spreading the musical culture of his country. Together with many other important musicians like Elisio Vieira (also based in Rotterdam) they found their first band called BABYLON. After one year they release the 1st Lp of the band called \u201dControl Na Schiphol\u201d.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Later with new members they became DJARAMA<\/strong>, the band that made a great success with this LP \u201cNha D\u00b4stine<\/strong>\u201d one of the biggest hits of Cape Verde music of all time.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u200bNowadays Am\u00e9rico Brito<\/strong> is still living in Rotterdam, and is beloved and respected member of his community.<\/p>\n

\u200bThis release is dedicated to the memory of the departed who left for eternity the good music, Elisio Vieira, Z\u00e9 Duarte (Kara Bedja), Beto Tavares, and Duca de Pitra, musicians who greatly contributed to the success of this band and to the musical culture of Cape Verde.<\/p>\n
