“I Can Take It” is Theo Parrish’s rework of Recloose and Dwele’s original tracks, and it still is one of the milestones of his long and bright career. The 12″ is an endless exploration of jazz and deep house in his particular style, accompanied by Dwele’s soulful vocals and some wonderful Rhodes improvs!
Fortunately, he has decided to repress the original 12″, making it available and affordable to anyone now. The B-side, “Sawala Sayale”, is almost as good, delivering 10 minutes of relentless African drumming, tribal chants and groovy house beats.
